Why do I get background flicker in BF: BC2

I currently am playing the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Beta and I am experiencing background flickering. Anyone else getting this too or know why I am getting it? I can play game and all just annoyed by the flicker. I also have this posted in the gaming thread due to fact I do not know if its gpu or game related.

Also I have no clue what background flickering even means...

Drivers up to date?
Check your temperatures? Sometimes flickering can be caused by high temps on your GPU, so I'd check that.
 
temps are in norm range. what i mean by background flicker is the background of the game is flickering like a strobe. the players and such are fine just the background flickers. I am new to beta testing and not sure if these are the type things they have test for.
