No idea what's going on here.

My desktop works great via wifi, gets about 8 megabytes per second. My laptop on the other hand only is pulling between 32kbps and 242kbps. I tried everything I can think of, including editing the host file.

EDIT: The laptop also suffers from slow transfers to the desktop. The problem now appears to be the laptop. It's a Lenovo t400 with an Intel 5100 abgn

Any ideas?

Wow, I figured it out. I have a 128GB SSD in there and turns out that despite Crystal Disk Mark saying TRIM is enabled, it wasn't. My 4k write speeds were through the floor. I was trying to transfer about 1GB of word documents and gamesaves, which is basically all 10k files. My sequential was down to 40mbps

Updated my AHCI drivers to the latest Intel Rapid Storage and I'm pulling 5mbps now.

Can't believe it was the freaking SSD.

some things are just easy to miss as i dont have ssd it would prob be somthing i would also miss
