i went to rivatuner last night to overclock my 9800 pro to 400/360 from stock speeds to examine the improvement in Far Cry. well i changed them to 400/360 in rivatuner and when i pressed the "test" button the whole screen changed into the whole bad NES game glitchiness, with blocks and squares and things. well i shut down and started back up and it was back to normal but wtf caused that? im just so afraid to put my card back up to 400/360 now because i am thinking that maybe it is because of the poor cooling in my case (lian-li with stock fans)...i dunno, suggestions as to what happened here?
 
It sounds as if 400/360 may be more than your card can handle. Try a bit more modest settings.
