Who Makes This PSU?

If you Google "CompUSA 520W" the first thing that comes up is the page you link on CompUSA's site.

And the second is mine. ;)

Everything you need to know is there. It's a decent unit, made by Skyhawk, but it's values are way off. Not a lot on the 12V rail, and more than you need on the 5V rail. Probably intentionally, though... Since CompUSA caters to a typical repair and low-performance clientel.

Thanks.

Yeah, even at $60 it seems too much for what you get. Maybe at $40.

I would like a good modular psu, but I really don't want to pay $100.

It's down to $60 now, eh?

It was $99 when I reviewed it.

GOOD modulars for under $100:

TTGI 550W for $78.99: http://www.directron.com/tt550k14.html
Ultra X2 550W for $85.64: http://www.thenerds.net/index.php?page=productpage&affid=8&pn=ULT31851
OCZ Modstream 450W for $73.88: http://www.case-mod.com/store/ocz-t...2u-450w-ezmod-power-supply-p-1571.html?src=fr
Enermax Liberty 500W for $87: http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merc...ore_Code=M&Product_Code=100338&AFFIL=FRG&NR=1
Aerocool Turbine 550W for $94.99: http://www.xoxide.com/aerocool-turbine-550w-psu.html

Well I picked up the Antec Smartpower 2.0 500W for $50 AR.

Hopefully it's a good choice. (Although it will be several months before I can test it).
