I am now on my second Themaltake TR2-430W.
The first one blew up (literally spewing a flame out the backside of my case).
Newegg sent me a replacement (it was out of the "refund" period so I had to take an exchange)
I'm building a new system now and upon taking apart my old one, I found that there is a "white paste" covering some of the components inside the PSU. It looks like marshmellow.
Its on few of the parts (I am not at all familiar with the inner workings of a PSU).
Im now afraid to put this in my new machine. Am I over-reacting? Is this some type of normal "stuff"?
If its bad...does anyone have a suggestion on a "cheap" but quality psu for a Core2 system paired with a Nforce 570. I have a secondary power supply (FPS Booster X3) to handle my SLI cards....so I am looking for something decent but it doesnt have to be ultra powerful.
