White line on laptop's screen. Need help.

So. A friend of mine likes to put his hands into stuff and here's the result of manipulating a laptop.

A white horizontal line across the screen.

How did it happen? Out of the blue, kinda. He opened the lap up and screwed back on, and the line was not there. It appeared after a day.

Now, I've checked the connections inside and theyre all ok. Not sure where to approach this problem from.

Could be a loose connection between LCD and GPU. Could also be a dead line of pixels? Dunno.

It's an NTT Corrino model. It's from Poland.
