  • Q6600 G0 OC'd
  • 4870x2
  • NB (if i do setup #2)
Setup #1

CPU Block: D-tek Fuzion v2 with nozzles
GPU Block: EK Block for 4870x2
Reservoir: Swifttech MCRES-micro or EK-RES250
Pump: Swifttech MCP-655
Tubing: PrimoFlex Pro LRT UV Blue 3/8 ID, 5/8 OD
Radiator: Swifttech MCR-320

Is that too much for a MCR-320 ?

I'm worried that the heat output by the 4870x2 will affect everything else in the loop.

I'd really like to do NB as well, if that changes anything.

Setup #2

CPU Block: EK Supreme Plexi
GPU Block: EK Block for 4870x2
Reservoir: 2x Swifttech MCRES-micro or 2x EK-RES150
Pump: 2x Swifttech MCP-355
Tubing: PrimoFlex Pro LRT UV Blue 3/8 ID, 5/8 OD for first loop, red uv primoflex for 2nd loop.
Radiator: 2x Swifttech MCR-220

One loop would be just for the EK Supreme since I hear its pretty restrictive.

The other loop would include the EK block for the 4780x2 and the NB EK block.

Only thing is that first, its a little bit more expensive than the first setup.
Second, is it ... overkill ? Third, would there be NO difference in temps between the two setups?

Don't vote for either then and if you don't mind, explaining why.

To note: I love the Thermochill rads.. but can't fit it in my TJ09 case. Would love to have one but those beasts are too damn thick. Maybe if I went with a Tj07 instead.. :D

I'd go with neither as you are currently configured.

Setup 1 is better than #2 overall. An overclocked quad and 4870X2 would be extremely taxing on your 3x120mm rad. I'd take all of the cooling blocks from your first setup, switch your tubing to some Tygon or Clearflex, and add dual 2x120mm rads (MCR220's will suffice). Unless you use uber-low speed fans this should give you great results. I'm assuming you're using the case in your sig which is great for WC...

Just to be clear, you're suggesting the Dtek Fuzion v2 nozzles, 4870x2 block and ek NB block, 2x mcr220, different tubing in a single loop ?

And yeah im using the TJ09 and the rig in my sig for this setup.
 
Yes. I am. Several of my good friends run a D-tek Fuzion block, dual GPU blocks, NB blocks, a 2x120, and a 3x120 rad all on the same loop. The MCP655 is a great pump... if you're to worried about pressure drop, you could always throw in a second pump for assurance.
 
Wait for some advice from some guys who are a bit more experience than I am too. I'm just going off of what I've been told by other people more knowledgeable about H20 cooling than myself.
