Which two drives would be a better raid setup?

I have two different pairs of SSD's to replace my disk drive. The first set is intel g2 80gb drives. The second set is kingston V+ 64gb drives.

I am not worried about space. 128Gb and 160Gb are both fine. I am looking for performance.

Your opinions would be appreciated.

Intels will be better for performance in IOPS, but the Kingstons will win in raw transfer speed. Depends what you are using the drives for.

Also, don't forget RAID disables TRIM.

Intel updated their drivers so that an SSD on a board in RAID mode but NOT part of an array will get TRIM commands. If part of an actual array they still don't get TRIM.

So how big will the performance hit be on a drive meant to run the OS and play games.

Would it be better to have an OS drive and then a separate game drive not in raid?
