I'm running a P4 2.8Mhz Prescott (Thermalright SLK-947 w/ Panaflo 92mm high output fan) on an MSI 865PE MB.
At idle MotherBoard Monitor states my case is 37c and my CPU is 39c. However, the Core Center software (comes with MSI bundle) states my case is 38c and my CPU is 44c.

The case temp looks good, but the CPU temp is 5 degrees off between the two. Which one do I trust as being accurate?

Hmm i'd probably trust the one with the biggest difference in temp. 2c between case and cpu is a bit too close. Right now on my setup i'm at 4C difference in case temp/cpu temp according to mbm...
