I need a 19 inch samsung LCD. Should I get the 930B, or the 193P+????

What's the difference between both? The 193P+ is 160$ CAN more. Wtf?

Overall, is the 930B a good choice? Probably buying tonight.

I got the 193P+ and I love it.

Some data...
---------------------------- 193P+ ---- 930B ------ Winner
Contrast --------------- 1000:1 ---- 700:1 ----- 193P+
Millions Colors ------ 16.7 ------- 16.2 ------- 193P+
Viewing angles ------ 178--------- 160 -------- 193P+
Response time ------- 8 ms ------ 8 ms ----- Maybe equivalent, the numbers alone doesn't prove much
Brightness (cd/m2) - 300 -------- 250 ------- Don't know what this value means exactly

I guess you can see why it is 150$ more

Yeah but would someone notice the difference?

As for the angle, I don't care, I'm in front of my computer when I look at the screen.

As for the colors, you'll never tell a difference.

The only thing imho is the 1000:1 or 700:1. But does it actually matter at all? It might be like having a porsche to cruise in a school zone.

And not to piss you guys off, but I think that just like me, you don't know.

I beg to differ. The immediate difference between the 193P+ and 930B should be the colour reproduction. TN panels (930B) always show colour banding when displaying a smooth colour transition. PVA/MVA panels (193P+) have a near perfect colour range like seen on modern CRTs.

Btw, the higher the 'Brightness (cd/m2)', the brighter the display will be in a well lit environment.

For the average user, no. :p

If all you're going to be doing is gaming or office applications, then save your money and go for the 930B. But if money is not an issue and you want to spoil yourself then the 193P+ is not a bad choice at all. One thing i don't like about the 193P+ is the lack of OSD buttons.

Money is an ussue, you know what, I'll just keep my 17'' samsung syncmaster 750s CRT.
