Allright guys, here's my setup. MSI K8N Neo, Athlon 64 3000+ (the 2.0 GHz Clawhammer), 1024 MB (2 512 DIMMS) PC 3200 RAM.

Overclock #1
FSB 220 Mhz, CPU 2.2 GHz, RAM frequency 220 MHz.

Overclock #2
FSB 230 Mhz, CPU 2.30 GHz, RAM frequency 191 Mhz

RAM in both cases is running at 2.5-3-3-7. (might try for 2-3-3-7 on the second overclock if I can)

I've always heard that AMD chips are best to run at 1:1 ratios, but I'm unsure if this also applies to the Athlon 64s. So, which overclock should I work with? Both are Prime stable. Thanks in advance!

to use the amd system bus to its full capacity use the fsb and mem in a 1:1 configuration. you will notice better overall ram and cpu performance. if you would like to try for a higher fsb and mem settings then you can try and loosen your timings up a little bit on the ram and try for a higher setting.

Ok, I am trying for 1:1 at 230 MHz FSB. I've got it set at 2.5-4-4-11 (CAS ratings of 3 are apparently bad for my system in terms of POSTing...) with 2.85 volts going to the RAM and 1.65 to my CPU. If its Prime stable I will try to bring down RAM timings slowly and see if I can get lower latencies. What do you think?

Ah-hah! 6 Hours prime stable at 230 Mhz FSB, 2.3 GHz 1:1 ratio with memory at 2.5-3-3-11.

I can't believe this memory only cost me $110 per stick (Canadian)

That is an excellent overclock. I think that you will be much happier running your fsb + mem in a 1:1 config.... it will yield you better results and run a hell of alot faster. :D I am glad it worked out; HAPPY OVERCLOCKING :D
