Picking up an i5 4570 haswell and I need a board to go with it. I have two options that I'm looking at. I don't know much about the chipsets.

Z87 vs H87

Both about 100 bucks which is good, trying to keep it around 300 for my cpu and mobo.

Any suggestions would be great, else i'm just going to get the fatal1ty one as it's originally 120. Higher price usually means better right? :)
 
What kind of features and ports do you need in a motherboard?

Higher price does not equal better.
 
if planning to overclock, get the Z87 board.
otherwise, the H87 board has slightly better audio.

since the 4570 is a locked multiplier CPU, the H87 is fine.
 
As far as ports go i dont need anything special. My cpu will be locked so no oc.
Maybe an hdmi but my gpu covers that. Probably go with the cheaper one. Actually has better reviews.
 
Since you don't need much in a motherboard, grab a cheaper one:
