I seem to remember a thread on this, but search being disabled right now, I can't seem to find it. If memory serves, some models of the M1015/9220-8i's flashed to IT mode easier than others. There might have been a specific IBM model that worked best? I'm looking at buying a few and want to make sure I get the correct model.
 
I have one already flashed to IT mode with two break away cables I'm selling. PM me if you're interested.
