can I get some help? personal opinions? user-reviews? etc etc...

ViewSonic VA1912WB

Samsung 940b

19" doesn't particular impress me, nothing I really need, especially if its .29 pixel pitch.
the widescreen though does get me going, I do love widescreen gaming. gotten used to it on my laptop's 16:10 panel.
the sony has amazing colors in person, the glass coating is sheer brilliance. makes it look real close to a CRT.

I agree with Sonys glass coting, making the screne look amazing. The only problem with it is it features no anti-glare protection. This mean it reflects light sources, sometimes making the screen somewhat difficult to read.

I have hears GOOD things about the Samsung 940T too. Personally, I would getthe 940, if I could afford it. Samsung pannels have always impressed me. :)

Hey, i have that Viewsonic you posted. It works marvelously. I would highly recomend that! You will notice NO ghosting in games or videos. I can tell no difference between this viewsonic to my old 17" CRT monitor. Highly recomend. If you have any questions let me know, i'll be checking your post!

how are the colors? do they seem to be accurate? have you ran any tests on it to determine the quality of the spectrum? is the black a deep black?
i really want those kind of answers, it will help be decide

all the reviews for that 1912 are speculative, nothing concrete and that scares me with a $300 purchase.

thanks, hope its not too much

You will find that ALL riviews on LCD's out there on the market, are rated like that. Every single person has their own prefrences, which is why finding a LCD, which you feel best suits you is VERY difficult.

Not at all man, i know how you feel. The colors are very bright, and sharp, very.......colorful. The black i see on this page here is very black, i don't see how it could be much darker. I'm amazed how bright and vivid this picture is compared to my other CRT. I did find 1 measily dead pixel toward the far right bottom of the screen, out of the way, and i would not of noticed if I were'nt looking. Thats just a chance you will have to take when getting any LCD but It's not worth having it shipped back to viewsonic either. Again, i have seen NO ghosting on the screen, none at all. I've been really impressed. Any other questions? :)
