I got a question for you guys, because I can't decide. Which LCD should I get? and do you suggest USB or Serial LCD's

This is what it will look like without the backlight

I was thinking the blue one because of my blue case, but then I thought that it might get drowned out in blue, and not be noticeable. I'm not sure how the yellow would look either, so any input you have would be nice. Also I was going to get a serial one because I don't have anymore USB's, but I can always get a hub if USB ones are better in some way.
 
personally I'd get the blue LCD. My personal feelings is that you dont want the LCD to "stick out" compared to the rest of the case. I'd want it to go with the rest of the case colour. I like people to have a really good look at my case before they really know what they are looking at ;) gives abit more of a "WOW" factor. Well in my book anyways
 
id take the blue with USB connector unless you use a lot of USB devices and the ports are extremely important to you.
 
Hands down blue...aren't you trying to go for a theme? Besides, green is much too fugly
 
I'd say USB to futureproof it. In 2 years I'd be very suprised if you see any new motherboards with onboard serial ports. Of course the USB displays just emulate a serialport in the device driver so they don't break compatibility with the existing software base. Therefore if you were to get the serial display the functionality of it would be identical to the USB model. And if you ever wanted to in the future you could purchase a serial>USB converter cable to make it into a functionally identical USB LCD.

That having been said. . . Colorwise no comment, I was never a big fan of LCDs anyway ;)
 
From an owner of the Crystalfontz white on blue LCD... think long and hard about what you expect from the LCD and what kind of viewing angle you need. It's a beautiful LCD but the viewable angle of it is VERY narrow. A few degrees off of head-on and the white turns black, a few more degrees and the screen is almost completely unreadable.

Without a doubt get the USB interface, especially if your board has front USB headers. Then you can use that to power the display and control all it's features. The serial one, I think, requires a seperate power source.
