Which is a better heatsink? Arctic Cooling freezer Pro 64 or Thermalright Ultra 90? I will have x2 3800+ or a x2 4200+ and be doing some overclocking. Any other suggestions for heatsink? I really like the looks of the Ultra 90 heatsink.
Ultra...but why get a x2 4200+? Couldn't you save the money, get a 3800+ x2, and OC it to the same speeds that a 4200+ x2 would reach?...doesn't a 3800 OC to the same speed max speed that a 4200 can OC to?
I tried overclocking a few pentium d and i noticed that the 3 pentium 805 i overclocked i could only get them to 3.5ghx max a lso they all had there own limits but its fair to say this is its potential limit and i got one pentium930 d and i could overclock that to 4.15ghz.
So my conclusion is that all chips are different even if they are from the same family and all have there own limit but buying one which is rated higher you will pay more but at the same time it gives you a start off but at the same time is it worth paying what you are paying.
i've had some bad experiences w/ Arctic Cooling's quality and fitment and it wasnt' that great at cooling to begin with (arctic cooling 64 + NV Silencer 4).
i've recently been using a zalman CNPS9500 and have been super happy w/ that but I just recently went with water cooling.
