Which HW monitors support Haswell?

Just finished putting my new system together and I would like to check temps. I've tried HWMonitor and Aida64 but I don't think they're correct, though both show identical temps at load and idle.

At idle the cores show about 29C, which I know is wrong, because they were 37C in BIOS setup. Speedfan claims 13C, which is of course impossible since the room is 24C. Also tried Gigabyte EzTune, but it just crashes on startup with an error in sensordetector.exe.

They show about 54C in Prime95 and 46C in Aida64 stress test which also seems too low (should be at least 65-70C from what I've read). If the temps really are this low, I'm not complaining, but inaccurate temp readings are not good. I'm using the Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU cooler.

AIDA v3.00 should fully support Haswell. Note that temp in bios is higher than in Windows because idle states are not active, so this is normal. Load temp is a bit suspicious though but not impossible if you're running stock speed and got lucky with a good cpu.

That's what I'm hoping, but I obviously want to make sure it's not just a false reading. I'm running at stock for now which means it turbo's to 3.7 GHz with all four cores active.

Here's with the middle option (max heat) in Prime95 running:

+3.3V quite clearly looks wrong too BTW.

How many threads in Prime95? Can't see in the pic, should be 8 to fully load the cpu. Also 63W cpu package power suggests cpu is not taxed to the max, you may be using an old Prime95 version without avx support

Task manager shows 100% for all 8 cores. Prime95 is version 27.9 Build 1.

Maybe it's just that stock temps are quite low, and the real temp problems begin when you overclock.. From what I've read, the temp climbs quickly with voltage, so I guess I could easily hit 80+C with a moderate overclock.

Looks like you got lucky then with that cpu, both great temps and power consumption!
