Go for the 37". it has a 15000:1 contrast ratio vs the 5500:1 of the 32". As for why the 37" so cheap: Walmart. That's all you need to know. They do all but put a gun to the manufacturers head to get the price they want. As for whether they would be good as a monitor, I don't know. I usually find companies that make monitors as well usually are better suited for it but that's not always true.
