I'm plannin on gettin 1 or 2 512MB PC3200..
First question, is Corsair Value Select PC3200 any good? better than Winbond or Samsung?
How good is XMS3200? or should I go for XMS3200Pro?
Which is better, XMS3200LL or XMS3200XL?
XMS3700 n XMS4000 is actually cheaper than XMS3200 Ultra Low n Xtra Low lantency ones.. maybe i should get them..?

Okay, you're gonna want 2 512's because a gig is nessecary these days.. winbond ram is better the value select, but you need to be more specific when you say "winbond or samsung". Pro ram jsut mean it has a big heatspreader with flashing LED's. XL is far supperior to LL. You do not want anything more than pc3500 because you're not running a p4, and that XL will OC to pc4000.

Agreed. Get the XMS XL if possible, and then the regular XMS after that. I would avoid any memory that has "value" in the name; this is not meant to be enthusiast memory.

And get the pro only if you want little blinky led's indicating use.

Atm i have 1GB (2x 512MB) of Winbond PC3200.. Chips read (W942508CH-5, 0335W1, 432327500). its been runnin dual channel mode on nf7-s for few months now, no prob at all.. haven't played much yet but does cas2 at 200mhz @ 2.7v. 210mhz cas2.5 @ 2.7v, (like i said i haven't tested much so i'm sure it can o/c higher, or run at faster setting, lower voltage, etc)

I'm building a similar system, if i get standard XMS3200, would it be able to run much faster than Winbond PC3200?
