Alright I will come out straight with you guys I am sort of a noob with all of this hardware stuff. I bought a Maxtor 120gb SATA drive OEM, and am planning on using it for my first build. My question now is what cord(s) do I need for the drive? Thanks

Well since you bought a SATA HD, you need a SATA cable. Also you'll need a SATA power adapter unless your PSU comes with SATA power plugs.

Don't those Maxtors have a legacy four-pin power connector on 'em?

if the motherboard has sata ..odds are you atleast got the sata data cable,, the powersupply cord is the only question
