Which controller to use?

I have a DFI Lanparty UT NF4 SLI-DR and need to know which controller to use. It has both the NF4 and a Silicon Image Sil 3114 chip. I hear that if i am overclocking aboce 240MHZ i should use the SI because the NF4 becomes unstable. Right now however, i don't anticipate going above 230 or so and things seem pretty stable. Would i get the best performance from the NF4 since it doesn't have to go through the PCI bus?
