My roomie currently has a Geforce 4mx400 installed and I know this card sucks, He isn't a hardcore gamer yet but I plan to get him into more games other then NWN. Were both broke currently but I got a Geforce 2 (Might be an ultra) would this be a better card overall?

No, the geforce4mx is a better card if I recollect. Not by much, but better.

From what I recall the Geforce 4 MX series cards are just overclocked Geforce 2 Ultras. So I guess the answer to that question would be no.

GF4MX400? Is that a GF2MX400 or GF4MX4?0? AFAIK there isn't a GF4MX400.
Find out which it is. The GF2 might be faster, as a GF2MX is a cut down GF2.
Other than that, I guess you could always look up the core & mem clocks for both cards.

Its the 440, I put 400 well because I didn't know since its in his PC...
