Newegg has a LEADTEK regular 6800 for $188.00 but that sounds a little TOO cheap. They also have a XFX regular 6800 for $219.00...neither of them 'OC' how much better are OC's?

I have $250 to spend

I want the best overclockable video card for that price can anyone recommend a brand or place to buy?

If you're going to overclock yourself, then don't get a card that's already overclocked if it costs more (I'm assuming you're referring to the BFG OC cards from the sound of your post). The leadtek's not too cheap, it's just a great deal. :) Make sure you're taking note of whether each card is PCI-E or AGP and which interface you have.

Leadtek's have amazing coolers on them. I can speak from experience in that their coolers more than get the job done.

depending on what you have (pci-e/agp) you could also spring and get a x800XL by ATI - one of the best bang-for-the-buck cards out there, especially for PCI-E.

I have the leadtek and I love it, not only did it unlock but it overclocks to 415\925 perfectly stable with just the stock cooling and only hits 72C on load.

I have the XFX 6800 and I am happy with the card, but it does not overclock nearly as well as the card above (when unlocked). My card only runs at 370\820 before it starts having glitches. I dont think its due to heat as the temp doesnt really change when I go above the 370\820.
