What's wrong with my 6800?

So I have a 6800nu unlocked to 12x6 and OCed some, and it worked well for a long time. I played World of Warcraft for about 8 months and then quit, and the 6800 never had any trouble with it, everything maxed (tarain distance turned down a little but thats not a big deal to me). Anyway, I renewed my a few weeks ago, and now i get random major loss of framerates for no apparent reason (nothing but me on screen sometimes, sometimes when i'm attacking something). Anyone have any idea how I can diagnose the problem, or even better yet, how I can fix it? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Sounds like a system problem. Maybe a problem with resources or background apps? A dying card would throttle if it's getting too hot, but otherwise, I don't see it getting slower.

it dosnt get too hot, under 60 under load... i usually have ituens open when i play but when I tried closing it, the same thing happened.

do realize the game has gotten some major upgrades recently, such as world glow and other eye candies.

I did consider the new updates, which may have changed some visuals (none that I know of though), but nobody else I know has this problem. I'l have to check the starup programs, thanks for the sugjestion.
