Right now I'm just using a green Anti-freeze I purchased from Walmart, but since I've had a few pump failures, I'm worried it might be because of the Anti-freeze. (CSP 750 pumps). Now I plan to get the Switech MCP-600, and want to know is there any specific addivitive I should use? or will any anti-freeze (mine as well) work?

Just as a FYI, I had a C-systems pump corrode and then die from the shaft seal leak that most likely killed your pumps. The shaft seal was prone to leaks and couldn't take the exposure to the common WC additives. I used Hyper lube (water wetter knock off) killed my little pump in 3 months. Your additive really depends on your loop, and what problems you have, mixed metals, bacterial growth ect...If you like the anti-freeze, use it....many have with no problems.

DaLurker, the problem is well known with the C-System's pump. It is not your additive. Their new pump, the Mag, is supposed to be pretty good, but I'm waiting on some reviews...

Burn me once shame on you. Burn me twice shame on me. I wouldn't give those guys even a second thought! They obviously just bought or made something without spending any time thinking about what they were doing with the product. If your kitchen or mobile home water pump goes bad then you might be without water for a while till you get it fixed. When a lousy pump goes bad in a computer you can lose a lot of very expensive hardware. :(

There is some stuff made by Aqua Computer called AC Fluid that mixes with plain old distilled H20 and prevents corrosion from occuring in your loop. It's less than $10 and probably is good for three water changes and doesen't have any glycols in it.

Reason i tried 3 was because they provided me with 3 RMA's. On the last one, I sent it in (the other two I exchanged at the Store I bought it from), and they said I shorted the pump out . So 4 months after my first pump, I'm out almost twice the cost of the first pump (shipping and travelling costs) and computer downtown of almost a month.

Lets just say there won't be a C-Systems pump in my computer.

How is Switech HydrX btw?

Good stuff...
Agreed, but it's not worth the price unless you have UV in your comp, as it's basically just some glycol based (dunno if it's ethylene or propylene  ) corrosion inhibitors and uv dye. I'd stick with what you're using once you get a new pump

I too use HydrX, not the best color, but regardless the stuff works great. So far no corrosion on mt TDX block, and it DOES look cool under UV. I may go blue later, (CoolerMaster's Stuff)
