I have a x800xt non PE pci express video card. I have a 4 year warranty on this comp. Do u think i should overclock this vid card just to PE speeds using ATI tool. or should i not even mess with it since the warrenty.
 
You have a regular XT card? Can you post a pic, I've never seen one and it looked like it was just a name mistake by some.

is overdrive suppost to make that bar go all the way up to the red. it only raised it by 6 mhz on the core, wich will be no noticable difference.

ATI is doing something weird with their PCI-E cards. There is no X800Pro PCI-E, but there is an X800XT (500/500) and an X800XT-PE (520/575). I'm betting they crippled overdrive on the X800XT in order to make sure you didn't just crank it right up to PE speeds since the X800XT has all 16 pipes. That's probably why his Overdrive tops out at a massive 6Mhz overclock. Looks like he'll have to find something like Rivatuner to get any more outta that card.
 
Thanks Rori, I've read some Anandtech reviews and I keep seeing an X800XT show up (even with the AGP cards) but I've never heard of one so I was just wondering.
