What will I do with this?

What we say is that the computer doesn't seem to do any better or worse than those who run higher flows and big tubes.
I disagree. Rick and I need to meet up at some point so I can prove you 2 wrong. Willing to bet pink slips? My Beast III vs Feeding Frenzy? Winner take all.

You also must add the components make a HUGE deal in overall performance. How many guys on this forum go and buy the top end cooling solution only to use crappy RAM, motherboards, or power supplies? ALOT (I can think of a guy pelt cooling on this forum and can't get a mild overclock)

My point is my overclocks are not huge but are not affected so far by changing tubing size.

I do still want to meet up with you, if anything to learn from your experience.

Sorry but even when I was a crazy gal in my younger years I would never had raced for pinks. BTW, you are really dating yourself if you know about pinks. ;)

Yeah, I'm an old fool, no doubt. Not so sure are ya TN? Ya think your system will OC just as well as mine?

I'd have my money on Nik even if the electronic parts were the same (mobo, cpu, ram). His watercooling is literally the best you can get all around, and it's now fairly quiet too (24dba fans).

having owned both an eheim 1250 and a d5, i can safely say that the d5 is nowhere near as quiet, even on the 4th setting.

however, neither can hold a candle to the noise that my iwaki md20rzt thows out.
to be clear: are you saying that the iwaki is really loud as compared to the other two or that the iwaki is really quiet?

i'm not going to read that back and forth until a get some sleep, that last exam was not pleasant, but this little point caught my eye right away.

That the iwaki is louder.

As others have pointed out so eloquently many times before youy may just have got a lucky one. How many CPU, MB's, and other computer components did you go through before arriving at your present state? I gather you are an adherrent of the Top Fuel club?

Not many at all. I've had this same setup for almost a year now, I got this particular CPU in a trade, and yes it is a gem.

UPDATE:

Temps are staying around 27c idle with my overclock holding strong. I will try to push it further this week if I can get over my temptation to buy that X1800XT Crossfire card Allstarshop has for sale. Just tell me don't do it!!!!!

ahem.....i was unable to get a FSB overclock, as a result of my DFI lanparty NF2 ultra B motherboard, which required an over-volted chipset to hit stock speeds, in my previous system. it was a bad board, from a vendor with a reputation for producing boards that typically overclock well.

i was still able to pull off 200x13@ 1.9V on a AXP mobile: not the best, but it was what i could get with voltages i was comfortable with.

on my current rig, with the same memory and PSU, i am able to hit 255 FSB on stock air and reasonable voltages.

you want to call mushkin memory anything other than high performance?i'll feel justified in calling you a fool.

you want to call an enermax 550 watt server supply (not their noisetaker desktop unit, their server series) something other than the best? i'll give you that: it isn't the best. it's one of the best that i can get up here, and it is very solid.

i went through a lot of testing to demonstrate that it was the board holding me back as opposed to any of my other components, when i was still using that system. you rejected my conclusions. i don't honestly expect you to change your tune now, but i just wanted to get the record crystal clear, in the wake of your post: i changed out the board, and all of a sudden i can get a reasonable FSB overclock.

i notice a similar trend in your arguments regarding watercooling: you reject suggestions about a product from a brand that you like holding the user back (DFI in my system or A-C in yours) and proceed onwards as if your entire argument is soundly reasoned.
