What should I do?

I am feeling the need to upgrade while I'm selling off some of my spare parts, and I'm stuck with deciding if it's worth it or not. I mostly do photo editing some minimal gaming that my video card can easily handle. But I wouldn't mind a boost in power.

I currently have:

AMD Opteron 175 (939)
Asus A8N-SLi Premium
2x512MB OCZ El Plat. Rev 2. 2.2.2.5
2x512MB Corsair XMS
7800GTX (Which would stay for now)
XP-90 Heatsink with Panaflo 120mm medium fan

I'm looking at only spending around $300-$350 at most for new parts: (I will OC just a little bit)

E6550 (Is there really a benefit to go with 1333FSB? Should I stick with the 1066mhz?)
ABIT IP35-E LGA 775 Intel P35
2x1GB PC6400 800mhz ram. (Some form of this)

Any different suggestions?

What is the main difference between the 1066 and the 1333. other than FSB? DDR2 and DDR3? I'm not sure. I've been with AMD so long, this new fangled technology has me baffled.

I just switched as well sooo i kind of learned whats what. 1066 and 1333 is just the FSB mhz much like the AMDs. If stock is 1066 mhz it'll go up as you overclock anyways. Right now my 1066 mhz part is running at 2000 mhz sooooooo ;)

PS: DDR2 is DDR2. Its a faster (on paper and somewhat in real life) then DDR(1). DDR3 is a newer/faster then DDR2 which once again is mainly on paper and maybe in real life too.

That's much more useful than nothing. :)

I'm not looking for a huge overclock. I'm just looking for a sidestep/a nice little step up.
