I was just looking through sisoft sandra and it gave me some warning that the Vcore was too high. I checked it out in ASUS probe and it says that its at 1.534 and it goes up to about 1.607 sometimes (thats the highest I've ever seen. Is that what it should be at? Or should it be set lower.

BTW, ASUS probe says that that voltage is okay.

Then your vcore should be around 1.5 volts. If you don't experience stability/heating problems just leave as is.

P4 default VCore is 1.525 Volt. Abit and my hardware monitors report it anywhere from 1.49 to 1.5. If you haven't changed anything and it's fine, leave it alone, yeah.

okay, sounds good to me then. I've never had any stability problems, can run prime for hours video encode.. the works.

Does the mobo control vcore? If it does could it just be like optimizing itself or something?

I think it's more to do with voltage fluctuations across the line. PSUs tend to fluctuate, better ones to a less drastic degree.

At stock most Asus P4 boards will run at 1.6 in AsusProbe. This overvolting is due to Asus' tendancy to bump the voltage just a little in order to maintain stability...It's why they are so stable.
