Ok so, this damn disease called "overclocking and modding" is breaking out again, along with its sister infection, "buy more stuff." Unfortunately, the only cure I have for it is "wallet of cash from working in the summer," so I'm trying to help myself here :D .

That said, I'm pretty happy with my whole set up except for the CPU. I really want something that can go to 2.5GHz. This thing can do that at 1.75v for a suicide screen shot, but thats it (unless I open my window in the middle of winter). I really want to keep my RAM and AGP 6800GT, so I guess my two options here would be get a S939 nf3 and a winchester or venice and overclock the hell out of it, or buy a good S754 CPU. Overall I want to keep cost at a minimum. I'm looking for some [H]ardcore knowledge and experience here. Thanks guys :cool:
 
Hmm... the other thing I'm wondering about is it worth it to buy a DTR or mobile S754 chip. Would they work on my board or are they DFI-only?
