What kind of CDKEY is stamped on the side of a Dell

and other things

The original Dell CD is hanging up on Installing Devices.
Tried this disc 3 times, once I left it on over night from 5pm til 8am

Second disc I tried was a Retail Boxed XP Pro CD but the CDKEY on the side of the Dell does not work.

So thats fourth reformat and reisntall attempt. Getting very ANNOYED AND FRUSTRATED WITH THIS POS.

Before I try a fifth time with a corporate VLK cd. Does anyone know what kind of CDkey is on the dell and what kind of XP Pro cd I can subsitute?

Should be an OEM key.

It's an OEM CD key for the version of Windows that's on the CD that Dell provided you. It won't work with out-of-the-box versions of Windows XP, just the OEM CD.
