Ok, I'm far from a computer expert, so don't laugh at me. Just what is memtest and how would I run one?
 
Memtest86 is a simple program that you run and test your RAM for errors. If you dont get a single error then your RAM is good.

Most people use it along with Prime95 and other programs when they first put togethor their computer or when they are finding their system to be unstable.

These two programs have saved me twice on friends' PCs. Can't beat the price, either :)
