What is ATA-7?

Hello all!

ATA-7 .... that is what my Hard Drive Interface is....

I this pata or sata and is it ok for my DFI Ultra-D motherboard?

ata-7 is probably Serial ATA.

Slow-ass drive, but yes, it'll work. It's the original IDE ATA interface... basically just your typical Ultra ATA 133 with 2MB cache.

Be careful though, according to the tech documentation it's "a drive that is so quiet, YOU WON'T EVEN KNOW IT IS THERE."
