I left my computer for about 2 hrs...watching tv and stuff and I came back to see that there were 2 big air bubbles at the highest points after the pump and the pump didnt seem to be working. I immediately flicked off the psu and felt the tubes and they were really really hot. They seemed to bend more easily due to the temp. I plugged in the pump to a different molex connector (well, actually the same one as yesterday, i just switched them around because i installed a new IDE drive for vista). Anyway, now the tubes are clouded where the bubbles were and the chipset temp is at 50c idling at stock (using the air, not water). I have no idea what happened. Any thoughts?
 
It sounds like the power to your pump got unplugged, and that temp on your NB is fine, unless of course it was drastically lower before this happened.
 
it was lower by 8c or so...

Does it matter that the tubing is sort of clouded in that one area?
 
i dont know, i just shut off the psu when i saw it. I didnt get a chance to look... The tubing was pretty hot though. It hurt to put my hands on it.

I think that its damage to the tubing from how hot it got. You might want to look into replaceing the tubing and giong over the rest of the system to chek for physical damage.
 
i figured out what happened. The molex connector that i used for some reason doesnt work and therefore the pump didnt pump any water.

here are some pics. The discoloration in the tubing close to the cpu waterblock is not from the LED on the fans.

the last one really does a good job. the coloration seems to be getting alittle better, closer to normal.
 
I use a Ehiem AC pump, but to prevent problems with power, I made a batch file which simply has the shutdown command. I have it hooked into speedfan. So If the temp goes past a certain point the pc shuts down.
