I need opinions on what HD and vid card to get with the total price of the setup to be $800 or less.

All from newegg for gaming and minor OC capabilities

Well there is not much budget for HDD and Grafic card. I gues 80 GB SATA Maxtor would be good cheeper HDD.

That leaves You with 100$ for a grafic card and thats to little to have real 3D gaming card. Well You can game for that money but not so good as that system is capable of when using good grafic card.

lol whats wrong with ati card on nvidia chipset? Its been done all the time for years now.

I would recommend the 9600pro for your video card.

just wait until ATi's chipset starts getting acceptance, then you will have ATi cards on Nvidia chipsets and Nvidia cards on ATi chipsets all over the place!!! Then in the year 2010 all the cards and chipsets are programmed to go to war with each other and try to short the other out. That is the REAL reason why ATi and Nvidia want their cards to have an auxiliary power connection!!! That way they have extra juice to fight the mobo with!!! RAWR run for the hills!
