What do you think about this setup?

After thinking about it, i desides to go with the copper, since the aqua computer blocks are hard to get.

Here is the setup:
Chipset: Danger Den ASUS A8N MAZE4
GPU: Danger Den NV-68SLI
CPU: DD RBX For A64
Rad: Either the DD Double Heater Core, or the DD Black Ice XtremeII Rad
Res: A Dual 3 1/2" bay res, or a dual 5.25" bay res
Monitor: Aquaero Monitor
Pump: AQX-50Z

If anyone has any suggestions, let me know.

This is Unless I cant get the Silver blocks from Sharka Corp, like Top Nurse pointed out in my other thread.

you know that water cooling the chipset won't get the chipset much cooler than air cooling it will, and will raise the temperature of everything else in the loop, right?

if you're thinking of going with a rad and 2 quiet fans, then the black ice pro 2 or the thermochill 120.2 will do better than the xtreme 2.

as top nurse pointed out in your previous thread, the nv68 is a real pain, because it is hard to get the water block to make good contact will the core plus all of the ram chips on the card at once.

it is ofter just as effective, and much easier, to use a block like the maze 4 GPU with enough ram sinks for all of the chips on the card.

if you get the heatercore, don't forget to get shrouds for it, from dangerden or elsewhere.

Im thinking about doing 2 2 fans, with silent fans on each, so i can fit it in my case. I dont really want to mount stuff on the outside.

Use some kind of GPU block and get some copper heatsinks to stick on the ram. These combo coolers are the pits for getting everything on the same plane. The only one that I know about that is better is the Aqua Computer that has the floating GPU sink in it See this A-C pic for details. This is only for the PCI-Express 6600 series cards unless they made some changes recenty to their AGP design. They also have the 6800 Rev 2 series cards with the same configuration of floating GPU sink. I just checked and the 6800 cooler is good in stock at IT-Trade so same delivery applies as mentioned in your other thread. :D

Silent fans won't work on the Black Ice Extremes. There's too much air resistance. You'll be better off with a Black Ice Pro.

ok, another thought, what about two double heater cores from DD, and how do the DD GPU/CPU blocks work? Do they work well, or are they junk?

You could strap on a google-stick and go looking for some information on your own. Expecting everyone to do the work for you isn't going to help you learn anything.

That said they work fine. Not the best, but not the worst by any means.

If you had 2 dual hc's you could probably come close to running them passively. One is enough for most people. I run one with a homemade shroud and am very happy with its performance.

As for your other parts...drop the Maze4 for the chipset and get one for the GPU.

I would go with the TDX block vs. the RBX just for ease of routing tubing. The performance difference between the two is marginal.

The rest of your parts look good.

I wish I had the money for one of those Aquaero's. Those freakin' things are pricey.

Yeah...I just went and looked at all this guy's posts and jeez  I mean WTF! This guy is all over the place from air to water to phase change to water again now. By the time he gets this figured out it will be time to start all over again. Perhaps he needs to make a 2[H]4U before June????
