my friend wants to trade me 2x512 pc2100 ram (both sticks used, and both are diffrent non-name brand companies)

for my very old msi mobo and very old p4 1.5ghz cpu.

i was wondering what would you guys do.
hope this is the right place...
im not smart on old hardware ;x

thx in advanced

The answer would vary a bit on the type of chips in the RAM itself, and the model of the motherboard, chipset etc.

Off the bat I would guess the value of the RAM to be at Ebay value around $80-$100 give or take a few bucks.

I would guess the value of the motherboard and chip would be higher. P4 chips even below 2Ghz sell there for around $80ish or higher.

I would search around Ebay and see what the going rates are.

The prices I am telling you are off the top of my head and could be a little off.

thx bro

i understand you cant come up with a specific price because i didnt state the models or even a company for the ram. im not even sure on the msi mobo model number. i could check tommorrow morning and post it up.

i appreciate your estimated guess (as it is probally way better than mine) :D
