What colour is your computer room?

Well the one wall you can see is forest green wich sits opposite my desk. All the other walls are covered with 8ft high bookcases wich reach towards the exposed beams in the vaulted roof. The three windows are almost always open, cept at night when they are covered with Forestgreen draperies that wiegh a stinking ton. Can you tell I like forest green? Desk is hand made in a modern Mission style with inlaid onyx and mother of perl around the top surface area. I really need to stop spending my money on building furniture for people and buy a stinking camera so I can show this stuff off. :p

Instead of one color why dont you paint a mural on your wall. I did and its different than anything you will see out there.

Here are pics of my room.

That is a very nice mural!

That just gave me an idea to do one wall in graffiti but I've barely ever used paint before so I'm not skilled at all. That is very nice though..

Mines a light blue :)

Mine's a light blue too. :) Everything in my room has all of the following colors:

Light Blue
Normal Blue
Dark Blue
White
Silver
Black
Gray

You will never find any other colors other than the list.

I have an all-out black computer set up that includes:

Keyboards.
Monitors.
Cases.
Mouses.
Speakers setup (even the control pad).
Headphone.
Desk.

The exception is of course, my Razer Diamondback, which spans out magical chameleon colors that spurt out pretty purple and green colors as well. :D

The mural is very nice. I am wondering why on the other side, the mural is cut off? :( It would look VERY nice if it was spanned out to a full double wall.

that is pretty cool, i wouldnt mind doing that but in like bluish colors instead of red tones.

I haven't really took the time to think that colour could affect my life. Makes me feel sorry for those who are blind... :(

Well, eh. Since I'm regarded as some psychological freak in school and everywhere around ( ), I notice things and well, I learn of them and I don't let them affect me.

So, in other words, colors don't affect me. If anything has a neat color pattern package, I will like it. But it's just a myth for me to even "think better when I'm in a green room" or even be "put down when I'm in a blue room". I mean, I've had some lots of fun in my bedroom and the wall is blue... ;)

Don't let colors affect you! You could have a black painted bedroom and be as happy as ever!

my walls are white, and everything has a navy blue trim. im hoping to replace all of the electrical sockets and then put stainless steel faceplates on them.

you should do some research into the physiology and psychology of color before you do. for example, if you paint it blue your appetite will be supressed and if you paint it red it will be stimulated. green is the most visible color and has been known to help with critical thinking when children are surrounded by lots of green. the color green which is around the 532nm region of the spectrum is also the most visible to the human eye. in dark settings, dark brownish red walls actually disappear more than black walls will.
Mine is kinda wierd. The walls were a light blue, but then I painted them. Thing is, I left every corner of the walls blue, and so it looks like every side of the room has a green square in the middle, leaving about 4 inches of blue surrounding it. I like it.

Yup a lot of masking tape.I dont know why I cut it off there. I did it like over 7 years ago. I have an anime wall scroll next to it so it doesnt look cut off anymore.

If I ever did anything like that, my Family would have me and my PC, out and jacking into the light pole on the Corner :p :D

I recently had to remodel my office because of some flooding. First I tore out the carpet to find a fairly nice concrete slab beneath. Since I have a rack on castors I decided to skip the carpet and just go with a concrete floor. Sanded and buffed it with a rented orbital from Home Depot which took most of the day.

I painted the walls a medium grey and put up trim with a mahogany stain. Along the edge of the floor I did a one foot wide border of navy blue paint to add a little more contrast.

My computer room(also bedroom) is painted a deep red, though I neglected to use the required Ralph Lauren Deep Tone Primer so it covered in a couple of different hues.

My computer is two tone, Linen on the top, and a dark forest green on the bottom (brings the eye up and virtually makes all cabling dissappear below tables). A chair rail I hand stained to a dark chocolate seperates the colors and the whole room has tables to put the computers all on. The corner has a 7/12 foot mobile server rack and the whole room is decorated in the boxes of games and product boxes of stuff I have bought over the years.

I have various gaming posters and such also decorating the walls... The LAN parties I host here in my house of 30+ is mostly the reason for all the table space, but I also do a lot of work on them as well.... I'd post a picture of the room if I had one here with me at work...

Also, I would caution about painting red over white, it takes at least 3 coats using a primer to get it to be solid red... In my movie theater room I painted a 6 foot by 6 foot pillar in Cajun Spice Red (rest of the room is Linen Color as well - looks great) I call that my tower of blood, and it took me no less than 4 coats to get the white patches out of it... Lot of work, wouldnt want to do that to a whole room, but that was my intention from the beginning...

You know some times its hard to tell. i have soo much blue light (filters, cathodes, misc leds) that it might aswell be blue :p

new house - mine is plain builder's white - must paint soon or all the white will drive me insane

probably go with a deep blue - curelean blue maybe

My room is tope with incandescent lights, my basement is white with fluorescent lights.

I like my basement better; I hate yellow light. Probably why I set up my main down there.

Yeah, yellow light does suck. It gives everything an ugly, old tint or something.
