The 6600gt, not by a huge amount but still better. If you already have a 9800pro its not worth the upgrade.
 
Im going to build my dad a pc, he wants the same video card as me, i said this 6600gt is the same price as my 9800pro, I said is it alright if i give you my 9800pro and i keep this 6600gt since im a gamer and your not, and he has no problem with that.

So im just making sure that this 6600gt is better in everyway than my card, or its not worth swapping.

I'd plug the 66 in yours and hand-me-down the ATI.

A further note: If he's not playing games, either of those cards will be massive overkill...consider keeping your present card and getting a much cheaper one for his computer.
 
a brother and sister lives with my dad, and i live with my mum, its likely that when i go to visit my dad, that i would want to play games on his machine, its also likely that my brother and sister would want to play online games with me when im back at my mums house, so i think getting him an ok card like a 9800pro/6600gt would be fine.
 
if they are just playing games once in a while they would probably be overkill, but thats the fun of it isnt it?
 
Well, if you keep it and get him a cheap card, then what you will do with the 9800 ?

I suggest you hand him the 9800 then get the 6600GT on yours and it's a win-win situation if someone play games on his computer occasionally.
