I'm also in the need for a camera bag, now that equipment is starting to build up.
I glanced over the other post on bags, and was able to get a few good ideas.

So far this bag caught my eye the most.

SlingShot 300 AW

I was curious what you guys happen to think of it? Also would there be any other good choices besides this one?

What needs to be stored:
-Pentax K10D w/ kit lens
- 85- 205mm lens
- 135m lens
- 28mm lens

-Canon S3 IS

-Power cords and other things.

Thanks for all the help

Bob

Crumpler 5million or 6million are great bags. I have a Kata R103 and that fits everything including my laptop.....

I use a Crumpler bag (either the 6 or 7 million, I forget) and hold three lenses with my D70 - 80-200 2.8, 50 mm, and 18-70 mm. I think I can have the 80-200 attached and still close the bag. I also have the charger, a bunch of flash mem, a field photography book for quick reference, a laptop card reader, and I'm going to also carry a Fuji F10 in it for my next trip. Won't hold your laptop though, that's what the Crumpler Brazillian Dollar Home ($250) does, but that thing is a monster of a bag.

However, the 6/7 millions don't have zippers or any other way to close the main compartment off from stuff like sandstorms, as the bag is a flap. They are very inconspicuous though as they look like a messenger bag.

If you have a shop that sells this kind of stuff, I'd strongly advise you go looking. I spent a while deciding on what I wanted.

i have 2 bags. one cheap $15 backpack-type bag my wife bought me and a much bigger one that came with my K10D. The little bag just barely fits the K10D with two lenses, while the bigger one can hold the camera, 4 lenses and a bunch of accessories and a tripod.

When I travel, I take both bags with me. I hate lugging the big bag around, its just too heavy and conspicuous. The little backpack can be worn all day and I hardly even notice it; it also leaves my hands free. Since its extremely unlikely that on any one day i'll need ALL my lenses and accessories with me, I figure out what I'm going to shoot that day and pack just what I need in the little backpack, while the big bag stays at home base.

I hike alot so, I use the Camelback Ranger pack. I like the idea of carrying drinking water. I carry my lenses, flash, tripod, D50 and, D80 in it. Granted it can be on the heavy side fully loaded but, as I drink the water it gets lighter by the end of the day.

I have the slingshot 200 AW and it is a nice bag. Holds Canon Rebel XT with grip, kit lens, 50mm prime, and 70-210 zoom. Also extra batteries, mem card, filters cleaning kit, wired remote, macro slide bar, all weather hood, and flash.
Only downside is that being a single strap all the weight is on the same shoulder and this gets heavy if you are out all day.
