What am I doing wrong????

Doesnt look unreasonable for the video card given. It is in the ballpark of what my XP3200+ with a 9700 Pro scored. Plus or minus a few hundred points with tweaks might be there but I wouldnt expect much more.

AMD athlon 3200+
ecs nforce3-a mobo
1 gig pc 3200 RAM
evga 6200 video card, opened to 8 pipes with 256mb of RAM

why is my score so low???

Lolz, its your video card man, its a low end graphic card, even though you manage to unlock a few extra pipe, it doesn't mean you score will sky rocket, don't expect too much from a low end video card.

"Plus or minus a few hundred points"

User-----Score---Card----------OC
BBA-----2,219---9700 Pro----375/345

Looks more like 1,000 points to me.:D

It is a little low. Should be around ~2000.

You are correct.
Average 6200 score is 2,229 right now.

Make sure you are not running any programs while using 3DMark.
Disconnect your Internet and disbale your virus software.
In performance settings in your Nvidia control panel change the setting to High Performance.
