Nervous the whole time (and manually creating a restore point just in case) I finally took the plunge and installed SP2. I made sure I was spyware free before doing it.
It seems to be good so far. No problems. The firewall was disabled when I checked, but thats probably because it noticed I had zone alarm running. It didn't pick up on Norton's antivirus 2k3, but thats ok, because its Norton's Fault .
After turning off those notification things and basically telling windows to let me handle my own stuff, it seems to not be much different.
Ahh. Thats a relief. I can turn on auto-updates again
.
Yesterday was a good day for my home PC. He got a new mouse , SP2, and Firefox.
