I have the rig listed in my sig. I installed both core temp and speedfan today. They are giving me similar readings but are WAY lower than I expected them to be. Are these readings incorrect? Thanks

nevermind.... I downloaded the beta version of coretemp and I am getting what seems to be normal temps. 23 and 26 at idle.

Speedfan doesn't seems to be giving the correct temp for E6550 (I'm not exactly sure why, it has something to do with the software assuming it to be same as previous batch of Conroe chips)

So far, I find that only SiSoft Sandra can report the actual temp, which is 15c higher than what most other software reports. This +15c temp reading is conform by Intel's own Desktop Utility Software for my intel board.

Previously, speedfan use to report my core temp to be below 25, which I know is not true no matter which part of the CPU you measures the temp, because my room temp was higher than 25 lol.
