It no big deal at all but lets say you reply to a thread and you close the browser and come back and go to the forum where you replied, the thread will show up as there is a new reply unread yet there are no new replies after your post.

is this an issue with the browser or a browser setting or with the forums?

Known issue. But not really an issue. :p :)

Most likely due to features in place with vBull's new Maintenence features. Depends on if he set threadviews to update instantly, or if he is using vBull's Cron feature to do so every hour. Same goes for subscriptions, and attachments views if enabled.

Not sure if post caching has anything to do with it.
