So I'm back now from dirtbiking and turn on the pc to find it acting very strange. First, the fans in the case seem to go from low rpm to a high pitch and go faster then slow back down...everythingworks fine. Then I notice the monitor is very bright, like the settings were messed with. I was like WTF so i turned it off right away. Also the fans kept changing rpms the whole time. Whats up? Did my powersupply go bad??

The PS COULD be going bad but that wouldn't account for your Monitor being screwed up too.

I would say that either you box took a significant surge while you were out or your power grid is a little unstable right now.

Are you running your box through a surge (good protection) or UPS (best protection)?
Or are you on dirty street power?

if everything is fluctuating that sounds like a power problem. Check the voltages on your PS and make sure they are running according to specification. If the problem is with the electric in your house Im not sure what to do about that besides maybe getting one of those battery backups which picks up when the power goes out.
