Weird Noises?

I've been hearing weird "clicking" noises from my computer lately... and I narrowed it down to my PSU. I took it out of the case and listened closely... and indeed that's where the noise originates. The best way to describe it is as if repeated static shocks are going off in a row. I took the cover off the PSU and turned it on. I didn't "see" anything... but the clicking was definitely there. Didn't want to mess with anything inside the PSU. So I'm wondering what the heck this sound could be caused by. Performance wise... my computer runs fine with no problems, but I wasn't sure if this could be potentially harmful.
 
I had an AC Ryan that I tested that would make an "arc" noise as loads were increased. You couldn't really see anything, but I didn't feel comfortable with a power supply that was OBVIOUSLY trying to tell me something's wrong under increased loads.

Ditch it. ;)
 
Have you checked the fan inside the PS? I have had fans start making clicking noises when they are about to fail. If it is a sleeve bearing fan it do this. check the fan with power off, see if the blade has alot of play when you try to move it.

They're ball bearing fans. When I opened the top of the PSU, it became apparent that the sound was coming from the internal components and not the fans. At first I thought it was dust in the fans... cleaned out a good bit of it, but that didn't do anything.

I feel I don't want to risk it either. On a side note... this PSU came with my BFG 6800 GT OC in a SLI bundle... 2x graphics cards and a SLI PSU. Since it's from BFG... do I get the lifetime warranty from it? Or does that only apply to the graphics cards?
 
The PSU has it's own warranty... but it's still going to be under warranty because I'm sure it's at least a year.
