weird lockup - plz help

hey everyone... been having some weird problems lately with my setup.

RaidMax 450 W PS
P4 2.4 Ghz "B"
Gigabyte GA-8IHXP
Samsung PC1066 16-bit RAMBUS
Hercules GeForce 3 Ti200

My problem is when my system warms up (108 deg. F), sometimes I hear a fan click and restart. When it does this, my system locks (complete freeze, HDD light is constant). I believe the front fan is the one resetting, but why would a non-essential fan freeze a whole system?

Anyway, a little discussion and speculation would help, so fire away.
