So I installed the Omega drivers, had issues, did a sys restore and installed the 14.11.2 Beta.

Now my pc will randomly reboot. Usually just a reboot. Sometimes a bsod. This happen only when browsing with chrome or watching a movie on vlc media player.

PC is rock solid in games btw. Never had a mid game reboot.

This a known issue or not? Never seen anything like it.

DDU is your friend. Let it go into Safe mode and work it's magic when it prompts to do so. Should remove the old drivers and make everything like new again.

I have artifacts only on Facebook. For some reason Facebook brings every symptom of a bad video card out of my system. I can go fire up a game and play for 12 hours without a hiccup. Go back to Facebook and it's flashing lights, squares, and garbled text all over again. Now if I open Facebook on my second monitor I have zero problems. Drag my browser back to monitor one and it's an all out war on my video card.

OP, go into CCC (if you use it, I used TRIXX for everything) and set the PowerTune limit to 50...see if that fixes it..I remember having the same issue with my 290 last fall with the launch drivers every now and then..It was mostly just flickering lines when scrolling, but would sometimes BSOD..PT boost fixed it.

ah that might work. I have a 290, trixx at 25. I use ddu btw. Ty. I wasnt certain that boosting trixx that high was a good idea. My temps are fine though. Should work.

Still getting bsod. Not as often but chrome ctd'd this morning. In game no issues ever. Has to be a software issue with the drivers in desktop. Annoying as hell.

Never had DDU fix anything. It's always a driver issue that gets fixed at some point. All these years and AMD can't make an install exe that works. ???

Try disabling anything that you don't really need or just as a test in msconfig. As long as you know what it is.

Try disabling any hardware acceleration in the browser. Disable Flash and or look to make sure you have only the latest and a single version of flash installed. This helped with my 7970 rig. AMD seems to keep having these issues.

Ram QA has really gone down that last few years. Try a single stick and or a spare single stick.
