Weird 9600XT Problem please HELP!

Hey, heres an odd one for you. I am building a system for a friend of mine with a PowerColor 9600XT. As far as I know, this is not a VIVO card. When you try to install the graphics drivers, upon reboot it detects 2 devices other than just the card, one being ATi WDM Rage Theater Video. As soon as the system tries to load drivers for that device, i get a bluescreen. Fantastic. I have gotten around the problem somewhat by not letting the driver install package install the multimedia drivers, but now I still have 2 unknown devices associated with the vidcard in device mangler. I also tried downloading just the WDM drivers seprately from ATi but same story, blue screen. WTF is going on? I am in the process of dling the drivers PowerColor links to from their own site, I guess I'll see how that goes. Anyone heard of such a problem? PLEASE lemme know, thanks!!
