Weird 3dmark 2k5 Score

Well I have an A64 @ 2.5ghz with a 6800 Unlocked and Oc'ed to 380/900. My 3dmark 2k5 score is 4100 points. I had a AXP @ 2.5ghz with a 6800 Unlocked and Oc'ed to 380/900. My 3dmark 2k5 score was 4700 points.

What's going on here?

I'm using 77.72 Forceware and 5.10 nForce drivers. My specs are in my sig. I hear there are problems with NF3 and 6800's, but I didn't realize it'd be this big a problem.

I'm stumped.
 
When is the last time you reformatted? And do you have programs running in the background? Also check your ram timings jic.

This is a fresh format. Ram Timings are 7-3-3-2.5. No programs out of the ordinary.

I know there are issues out there with NF3's and 6800's and I was hoping some ppl here in HardForum can let me know whether they've had this issue and how they fixed it.

It seems given my exact same setup except A64 instead of AXP, my score should be well over 5000 points, but it's a very disappointing 4000 :(.
 
did you just post this a while ago? or on pcper or something? i swear ive seen this thread somewhere lol
 
It's weird which is why you shouldn't base system performance on a number. How's gameplay?

Well the thing is there isn't any game out there right now that is more GPU intensive then 3dmark, and I'm not so much looking for a magic number, but rather I don't understand why my score is lower than an A64 system compared to my AXP system. Game performance is up a bit,and scores are up in 2k1 and 2k3, but the reason is they're both more CPU instensive.
